ARTICLE MASHUP

She was a hearing and visually impaired American author, activist and lecturer. She loves the opportunities it offers in terms of allowing her to portray a variety of characters, to be able to be creative. Over the past four years she has had to steer Germany through some difficult times, but remains very popular. She changed the public's perception of people with disabilities. Despite being hugely successful at what she does, this beauty - has also written a motivational book designed to improve the body image of teenage girls. She became known around the world as a symbol of the indomitable human spirit, yet she was much more than a symbol. She was a woman of luminous intelligence, high ambition, and great accomplishment, having devoted her life to helping others. The old-fashioned image that supporters feared would stump her progress is long forgotten. Partly that is because she spruced up her appearance, wearing bright colours and sporting more stylish hairstyles - but largely it is because few people think it matters. She was an impassioned advocate for the rights of people. She played a leading role in most of the significant political, social, and cultural movements of the 20th century. Some people said she was boring and provincial, but they underestimated her. Her life story exemplifies the truth that through the body's physical limitations that may constrain one's performance, a person's true value comes from the height and depth of her mind. She does not need to rely on charisma to win over voters, because she is a pragmatic politician who inspires confidence. Everything in moderation, that's the trick.

FILE FRONT

MY CRYSIS WARS FILE INCLUDING LEVELS AND OBJECTS CAN BE FOUND THROUGH THIS LINK:

FIVE IMAGES OF MODEL IN CRYSIS ENVIRONMENT

This is an image of the studio designed for Charles Darwin. It has a dark texture applied to it. It appears to be complex however started from quite a simple place slowly subtracting from its form. This is an image of the studio designed for Stephen Hawkings. It is a split level studio joined by a ramp. the medium texture applied to the studio represents Stephens complex yet very organised theories.
This view of the studios shows the merging of two brilliant minds. It's own form of electroliquid aggregation. they are two very separate spaces that work as two separate entities, however, without each other they would represent an entirely different idea.

INITIAL MODEL AND CRYSIS IMPORT

THESE ARE MY INITIAL SKETCHUP MODELS. THE DIFFERENT TEXTURES(COLOURS) APLLIED ARE TO DIFFERENTIATE BETWEEN EACH SEPARATE PRISM.THE FIRST MODEL BEGAN FROM JUST A CUBE. WITH EACH SUBTRACTION I MADE FROM IT, IT BECAME SOMETHING MORE. HOWEVER, THERE WAS STILL SOMETHING MISSING FROM IT. I THINK I RESOLVED THE PROBLEM IN MY FINAL DESIGN. THE MODEL DEVELOPED ALOT FROM THIS POINT. THE SECOND MODEL DEVELOPED, HOWEVER NOT AS DRAMATICALLY.

THIS WAS MY PRACTICE IMPORT OF MY CRYSIS MODEL WITH COMMON TEXTURES INTO MY DRAFT CRYSIS ENVIRONMENT. I IMPORTED THREE SEPARATE COMPONENTS, ALTHOUGH I ONLY HAD 2 TEXTURES. I TRIED IMPORTING BOTH STUDIOS AT ONCE, HOWEVER WAS UNSUCCESSFUL. WHEN I IMPORTED THEM AS SEPARATE COMPONENTS I WAS SUCCESSFUL.

Ignorance more frequently begets confidence than does knowledge: I want you to share my excitement at the discoveries, past and present. it is those who know little, that have revolutionized the way we think... those who know much so positively assert that this or that problem will never be solved by science. Our image of the universe today is full of strange sounding ideas, and remarkable truths.

DRAFT SKETCHUP MODEL

FOR THIS DRAFT I DECIDED TO USE TWO OF MY SKETCHES TO CREATE ONE SPACE. I ALSO DEMONSTRATED HOW THE USE OF DIFFERENT MATERIALS (IN THIS CASE GLASS) CHANGE EACH OF THE AXONAMETRIC MODELS INTO QUIET USABLE SPACES

AXONOMETRIC SKETCHUP MODELS

THIS IS A SKETCHUP MODEL OF AXONAMETRIX SKETCHES 2A AND 2B.

THIS IS A SKETCHUP MODEL OF AXONAMETRIX SKETCHES 9A AND 9B.

STAIR TO PATRICIA PICCININI'S GALLERY

This animation shows the entrance to the gallery, leading to Patricia Piccinini's swell installation at the bottom of the feature stair case. This stair case which leads to the gallery represents 'motion' by the way it gently spirals upward, almost like a whirlpool, made even more evident by the use of floating stairs and glass support.

I uploaded the files to youtube, however they did not work correctly. in any case, here is the link to the file found on youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m10-JC-jPZ4

SECTION ANIMATION

This animation shows the building in its entirety above and below ground. It shows the unique architecture of the lower studio space created for Ricky Swallow, representing 'death'. The decision to use concrete as the most predominant materials was due to the cold, lifeless effect it portrays. This section also shows the feature stairwell leading up to the datum from this studio. It is very imbalanced and asymmetrical, with the same lifeless elements as the studio itself. There are multiple viewing areas located at the datum to tie the too themes together. The shape and material of the glass panels represents motion, and the death is represented by the drowning sensation that would be experienced below.

PERSPECTIVE ANIMATION

This animation shows the building in its entirety above the datum. On the top level, Patricia Piccinini's studio is located. It is a sheltered, but open aired studio. I have added my own custom texture to the windows, which represents luminous. located inside her studio is a large water feature; this along with the curved roof helps represent the theme of 'motion'.
